Spring Pasta with Prosciutto & Peas

3 tablespoons of butter
1/2 onion, diced
4 oz prosciutto, julienned
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup of cream
1 cup of frozen peas
sea salt & cracked pepper
parmesan cheese
*sometimes I add chicken and/or frozen spinach, too, for added nutrition

1 pound of fettuccini pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta according to directions, less 2 minutes.

In a large sautéed pan, melt butter and cook onion until soft. Add prosciutto and garlic and cook for a minute, then add cream. Simmer until bubbly and thickened. Add frozen peas.

Add pasta directly to the sauce from boiling water, toss. Top with parmesan.
