No-Sew Pleated Curtain Panels

I really like making things myself. Mostly because I’m impatient. I also enjoy the process… but, I’m not a perfectionist. I don’t have the patience or dedication to most projects you have to have to be a great seamstress. I can whip up a simple pillow (don’t worry, I don’t sew the actual pillows in our shop!) or a halloween costume, but that is where my sewing skills end.

Since adding all of the new JSH Fabric by the Yard to my store this summer, I’ve been wanting to make curtains for our hearth and dining room. I easily made two sets of curtain panels in a couple of hours by using iron-on-fusion tape.

I used our Field Flower Fabric in Wheat. I wanted something neutral and warm that will look good all year long. Shop all JSH Fabrics here >

I tried to document the process for you in a step-by-step tutorial. Honestly, creating this tutorial was much harder than making the actual curtains! However, I’m hoping it will help set you on the right path if you decide to try it yourself.

For Fabric, you will need 8″ plus the finished length of fabric for each panel. Mine are 86″ long, so I used 94″ of fabric. I would estimate 3 yards for most panels to be safe.
