This is the fourth series of posts about the updates we’ve been working on at our house this year. Our dining area is in one open large room along with our kitchen and family room. I wanted to add some definition to this corner to make it feel more like a dining room. We added built-ins on each side of the French doors that lead to the study. I can’t believe that it hadn’t occurred to us to do this before – it seems so obvious now. I love the extra display surfaces and, of course, the storage that it affords us.

The lighting was a little dark in our dining room when I took these photos with the new Carie Table Linen Collection. These photos of our table set outside show the colors better.
