Daffodil Weekend at The School House

Last weekend we hosted the Daffodil Workshop at our School House in Lexington. Our guests came out to pick daffodils, take a tour and then went to the JSH Shop on Main for lunch, dessert and shopping. We met the most lovely people that came out and enjoyed a really beautiful spring day in the country.

The School House is all spiffed up with our new pillows in Wedgewood Blue that are a part of the April Collection. This is my favorite look yet there.

We had planned for a picnic originally, but the weather looked a little iffy with storms in the area, so we moved the lunch to the shop. It was so fun to set up our own cafe. I used the chairs I bought at Martha Stewart’s Tag Sale, set in front of her cabinet. (See more details of our trip here, which was almost a year ago.)

We made “Ploughman’s Platters” for lunch in our Large Kraft Window Boxes. It is basically simple, classic picnic favorites – and really delicious on a spring day. We created Turkey & Berry Bento Boxes for the kids (below) in our Small Kraft Window Boxes.

Ploughman’s Platters :
Honey Baked Ham
Good Bread
Cheddar Cheese
Steamed Fingerling Potatoes
Cornishon
Lemon Dijon May
Hardboiled Egg
Radishes
Carrots
Celery

The JSH Shop on Main all spiffed up in the April Collection.

I really enjoyed the day and meeting everyone that came out to celebrate spring!
