Dahlia Season

I’m new to the dahlia world, quickly becoming enamored by these colorful, wild flowers. We have started our first dahlia garden at the school house, but we have yet to really harvest more than a couple. Our friends have a stunning dahlia garden with hundreds of plants in full bloom. They graciously let us come up and pick as many as we could carry home.

Dahlias are the inspiration behind two of our newest designs: Dahlia (of course…) and Mae. The Mae design, named after my grandma Ethel Mae, is actually a drawing of a full dahlia plant with colorful blooms. The Dahlia design is a simplified sketched version of the flowering plant in one color. I love how the work together. Both designs are available in pillows, fabric by the yard, table linens and our paper products.

I’ll be sure to share photos of our dahlias at the School House… when and if they ever decide to bloom. In the meantime, thankful for friends with green thumbs : )
