Summer Bounty Dinner

We hosted a fundraising dinner for our school over the weekend. I wanted to base the dinner around the abundance of seasonal produce we have locally. We’ve been deep in tomatoes and peaches from my parents for the last month, but this was the last big harvest – we put it to use. I set the table using our Indoor/outdoor material in JSH Light Blue Stripe (newly added). I love using the outdoor fabric as a tablecloth because I don’t have to worry about stains. I layered two long rectangle tablecloths down 12″ of table to create this look.

I filled baskets with tomatoes and peaches to send home with our guests and set those down the center. I’ve just added the Harvest Baskets to the shop, here. They will look great with apples next month. The hydrangea come from our yard. I use our Bergs pots as “vases” by putting a glass jar into the pot for the flowers. I wanted the table to feel garden-y and unfussy.

I used our coordinating Mae Napkins in Light Blue & Spruce. I folded them to hold the menu cards I printed. However, a hand-written menu would have looked great using our Mae tablets… actually I like that idea better. Next time!

This menu was a big hit. Everything can be mostly prepped ahead of time – my requirement for entertaining menus.
